The Catering Studio was created in 2007 by partners Simon Pepping and Stephanie Meyers, with the aim of setting a new standard for catering in Wellington. Now this is no easy feat. It requires commitment to quality, a passion for food and pure dedication. We live by these principles at the Catering Studio and it seems to be paying off.
Simon started his career in the hospitality industry washing dishes on a milk crate at his father's restaurant. Perhaps it was that early glimpse of the busy and bustling kitchen environment and early experiences of fine food that led to Simon's ongoing commitment and enthusiasm for the industry. Since then Simon has built an extensive résumé of experience having worked in a number of kitchens, both in New Zealand and abroad. For the last eight years Simon has focussed on catering and event management, and has developed a real passion for the challenges that catering brings.
Stephanie's background is in business strategy and technology. As well as being a cheerleader for The Catering Studio, Stephanie also works as a management consultant for Deloitte.
Another critical ingredient to the success of the Catering Studio is our excellent team of chefs, bakers, service staff and office support. They are the backbone of the business and we are endlessly grateful to the innovative, enthusiastic and utterly professional individuals who make The Catering Studio such dynamite.
